  I started attending Tearney's at 11 years old. I have been doing it for five years. Martial arts has been one of the best things I have ever done. Tearney's has some of the best instructors in the business and I try everyday in hopes I will be as wonderful as them. I also attend Krav Maga classes on Tuesdays. I have only been doing these classes for a short time but i can already feel myself getting better everytime. As a teenager who struggles with chronic anxiety, Tearney's has given me the confidence to know I can defend myself should I have too. My family situation isn't the best, But I always know I have a family of caring instructors at Tearney's. I think every child should try martial arts, and Tearney Martial Arts is the place to do it!

  I have trained at 6 schools over the last 20-30 years. Some are too hostile and military. Some are too soft and not demanding enough and just want to collect your fees. This school has a good balance. They are great with kids and good with us older folks too. If you go and watch classes or start attending them, you get the feeling that all of the instructors are not only good at teaching karate, they are good people too. Have been very happy at Tearney's!
